The Story
What do we stand for? Innovation and tradition.
Half a century ago, our founders dreamed of a school that would provide the best possible education and prepare one academically for university and beyond. Those founders realized that such education and preparation meant more than the nuts and bolts, the mere facts, of education, but realized that educating the whole child – spirit, mind and body - to be essential.
Today, we have enhanced the Episcopal experience more than ever to prepare students with an adaptable toolkit of academics, life skills, talents, and confidence as members of a community. In anticipating the competencies our students will need to find success in the next half century and beyond, the time has come to undertake a bold, unprecedented capital campaign.
SPIRIT, MIND, BODY: THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN for Episcopal charts a transformational course for our school, and, without question, our campaign goal is bold. But, so too was the dream of our founders in 1965. Their vision set Episcopal School on its course, and in the years that followed, their dream was eagerly embraced by other families in the school community.
What does the future hold? Opportunity and transformation.
Episcopal School of Baton Rouge continues to proudly embrace the opportunity to shape the bright futures of over 900 young people each year and ensure the fundamentals for lifelong success. The Capital Campaign charts a transformational course for our school. The rewards will echo from generation to generation.
Capital Campaign investments that will provide not only for our students today, but for the future of our students and that of the community as well. We remain committed to developing a bright, mature, capable person who can and will rise to meet the challenges ahead. The resources and learning spaces provided through capital campaign support will allow each student to engage, to lead, and to discover through innovative techniques and design.
What does it take to get there? Evolution and expansion.
Education is a key to success, productivity and perhaps even satisfaction for the future of our children. In the proven tradition of an Episcopal education, we can provide our children with solid fundamentals and a learning community that prepares them for the rapidly changing and increasingly challenged world.
By securing the funding needed for vital campus enhancements, we will create the learning spaces and tools necessary to recruit, engage and sustain leading educators who will inspire and equip our students to emerge as the next generation of leaders, scientists, humanitarians, philanthropists, and ethical thinkers and to secure Episcopal’s stature as one of the finest independent schools locally, regionally, and nationally.
We invite you to join us in our endeavor to unlock each student’s potential. We are grateful for the opportunity to inspire and guide each student in their journey to build Spirit, Mind & Body. We seek your support in helping students discover and utilize their God-given talents to live purposeful lives.
